It appears (from posts over there) that initial contact has been made, and this is one of many possibilities being considered.

I've just wandered back here today, and rediscovered that I made an account here two years back when SN had that big server-burp moment. So I'm ready to go if this is the direction the community decides to drift in... :)

Not to worry, that angst has been lost in a server SNAFU, so there's no evidence that it ever happened.
